Drift Lab was born on the water — not in a boardroom.

Like a lot of fly anglers, I got tired of gear that almost worked. So I started designing my own. I built products to solve real problems I was dealing with on the river. I used them hard, refined them, and kept going. Eventually, it felt wrong not to share them. That’s how Drift Lab came to life.

The name comes from a simple moment: standing in a river, watching a fly drift downstream. Fly fishing is about precision — the right fly, in the right place, moving at the right speed. Every detail matters. That mindset is the foundation of our brand.

The “Lab” represents how we approach design. Every problem is broken down, examined, and tested from every angle. Nothing is overlooked. Every solution is intentional and calculated, just like work done in a laboratory.

Every Drift Lab product is built with purpose — minimal, functional, and made to be used hard. No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just smart design that solves real problems anglers face every day.

We’re just getting started. New products and solutions are being developed and released one at a time, each built to earn its place on the water.

We believe fly fishing is about focus, respect for the water, and enjoying the process as much as the catch. Our gear is meant to support that.
